FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why are you doing this?

At Mountain View Community Church, our vision is to be a vibrant, worshipful church that plants churches to further the good news of Jesus. As we’ve planted churches over the years, we’ve learned that a key need is equipped and faithful musicians to serve the church. The aim of Develop is to take a step to equip musicians to that end.

Why is there a cap on registration?

We limit the number of registrations to 250 people so the conference feels like a family reunion. We don’t want you to just sit through sessions. We want you to engage with others around you and be encouraged by what the Lord’s doing in our churches. We feel that this is best done in a small setting where people feel truly known.

Who can attend?

Anyone! We are primarily hosting this conference to build up and equip the worship ministries that are connected to the Crossway Network of Churches, but the more the merrier! The content is intended to be diverse enough for anyone to grow.

What if I’m not a musician?

While the majority of our workshops are focused on developing musicians in the practical skills needed to lead the church in musical worship, we have some workshops that are accessible to anyone. If that’s you, check out “Great Lyrics”, “Building and Leading Ministry Teams”, or “Liturgy 101”.

Do I have to attend all day?

Nope! But you should.

Seriously, do I have to attend all day?

Still no. Feel free to pick and choose sessions you’d like to attend and skip whatever.

What’s the food situation?

Your conference fees cover 2 dinners on Friday night and Saturday, as well as a light breakfast on Saturday. You’re on your own for lunch on Saturday; there’s lots of great options to grab a bite with a friend in Old Town Fort Collins. We will also provide more information during the conference about Saturday lunch options so we do not overwhelm Old Town businesses.
